Color Lab Subscriptions Moving Forward
Hi Everyone, Robert here. Last October, we asked our customers to take a few minutes out of their day to take a "Make FilaBlend Better" survey. The responses we received were overwhelming, and I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for completing it and helping us improve FilaBlend. Over the next few months, we will be sharing some of those results and announcing ways that FilaBlend will change based on your comments! Our Blends of the Month was one of those changes.
Our next change will be an improvement in the way our Color Lab subscriptions work. Color Lab was always meant to be a way for our subscribers to try new filament blends and order those specific blends if they like it. If enough subscribers liked those blends, we would "promote" that blend to a Curated Blend. However, buying subscription blends was difficult. When we first started, we used simple colors that were readily available. Subscribers could go to our Custom Blend page and order the color combination that they liked. However, as Color Lab matured, we slowly moved to more exotic filaments. Some of those filaments do not react well with others, so we left those filaments out of the Custom Blend option. The only way for our subscribers to order those blends was to email us directly. While we love communicating with our customers, we recognized that this was a horrible and challenging buying experience.
All subscription packages moving forward (including this month's subscription) will have a QR code inside, similar to the one shown above. Instead of taking you to the FilaBlend News page, the QR code will be a direct link to that month's subscription blends. Not only that, but the QR code will automatically apply a 15% discount at checkout! This discount is our way of thanking our Color Lab subscribers for sticking with us through thick and thin. The code will expire at the end of the following month, and a new discount will be created as a replacement.
